Dow acquires Corteva unit in Mexico

The multinational Dow Chemical Company has announced the acquisition of facilities from Corteva in the Mexican state of Tlaxcala.

According to the company, this investment "reinforces Dow's ongoing commitment to Mexico and the industries it serves."

They stated that this purchase ensured the sustained operation of Dow's Polyurethane Systems (PU) House at the location and allowed for continued growth in high-value PU markets.

Dow stated that it would maintain the operations of all assets and services at the site, focusing on operating "safely and reliably, delivering results, and meeting customer needs."

The Polyurethane Systems House provides customized polyurethane solutions that represent a competitive advantage in many sectors experiencing significant growth.

Verónica Pérez, President of Dow in Mexico and the Northern Latin America region, expressed her enthusiasm for the acquisition.

"This move exemplifies our dedication to Mexico and our commitment to providing innovative solutions to our customers," she said.

By acquiring Corteva's facilities in Tlaxcala, the executive stated, "We reinforce our position as a trusted partner and supplier of solutions in industries that demand sustainable and high-performance materials."

Leonardo Censoni, Dow’s Commercial Director of Polyurethanes and CASE for Latin America emphasized the acquisition's strategic importance.

"This acquisition is a significant step in maintaining the sustained operation of our Polyurethane Systems House at the Tlaxcala unit.

"This will allow us to continue offering cutting-edge solutions that meet the growing needs of our customers, not only in Mexico but worldwide," he added.

According to him, Dow's Polyurethane Systems House in Tlaxcala is a vital asset that "supports Dow's growth strategy and customer-centric approach."
