Rovensa Next strengthens leadership team with appointment of Riccardo Vanelli as Regional Head of EMEA

• Vanelli comes to Rovensa Next with more than 20 years of experience in leading companies in the agriculture sector as Syngenta Biologicals and led integration processes such as that of Valagro into Syngenta. 

• In his role, Vanelli will fortify Rovensa Next dedication to customer service and strategic insight toward new commercial horizons in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Rovensa Next, the biosolutions business unit of Rovensa Group with the mission of shaping a more sustainable future for agriculture and driving its biotransformation, has named Riccardo Vanelli as Regional Head of EMEA at Rovensa Next, taking effect from March. 

Vanelli, who will be based in Italy, joins Rovensa Next with over 20 years of experience in the agricultural industry. He brings a wealth of expertise gained from his extensive tenure at Syngenta, particularly in agricultural biologics. Vanelli began his career in management consulting at Accenture, specializing in business process reengineering and change management. He later transitioned to Syngenta, where he held several senior commercial roles in Italy and at the headquarters. This included serving as Head of Biologicals Business Unit for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, following his earlier role as Crop Protection Business Unit Head & Managing Director Italy.

In addition to his comprehensive market and business knowledge, Riccardo's strategic thinking and skills in organization, operations, and sales led him to spearhead the regional integration of Valagro into Syngenta, where he served as president in the final year. Among other roles, he has also chaired the Crop Protection Industry Association in Italy serving as President of Agrofarma.

Vanelli's strategic insight will open new commercial horizons for Rovensa Next EMEA. His leadership skills will also contribute to the growth of our team of professionals and technical experts in the field, enabling us to offer the best knowledge to our customers, distributors, and growers.

In his new role, Riccardo Vanelli, will drive the commercial strategy of Rovensa Next biosolutions portfolio in EMEA working closely with R&D, Regulatory functions, and all EMEA teams to highlight the breadth of solutions for the industry and promote sustainable agriculture practices.
