Microgeo, a pioneer in the biologicals sector in Brazil, recently entered into a partnership with Lavoro, the largest distributor of agricultural inputs in Brazil and the first in its segment listed on the Nasdaq, the American stock exchange.
According to the Brazilian company, the collaboration marks "an important step for both companies and promises further to drive the biologicals sector in the agricultural market."
Founded 23 years ago in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, the company specializes in producing and commercializing Microgeo®, a balanced component that nourishes, regulates, and maintains the Continuous Liquid Composting (CLC) Process.
The company gained prominence by transforming degraded soils into "Terra Nova" through CLC.
"This innovative solution is tailored to each farm, respecting and restoring the local microbiome profile, with a synergistic effect on all agricultural practices," Microgeo said.
According to them, resource optimization and standard practices significantly benefit this innovation, serving as a unique tool for "regenerative agriculture."
"This partnership not only places Lavoro in a privileged position in the sector but also demonstrates the productive and technological potential of Latin American agriculture, playing a vital role in global sustainable development," say those involved in the business.
Caio Suppia, Marketing Director of Microgeo, emphasized being "very excited about this strategic partnership with Lavoro."
"We believe that together we can further boost the biologicals sector and provide innovative and sustainable solutions to Brazilian farmers to improve their productivity and profitability," he explained.
According to Suppia, Microgeo will continue developing technologies that "promote a balance in agriculture through biological diversity, always focusing on sustainability and growth."
Lavoro stated its purpose was to "support the delivery and adoption of innovative and intelligent agricultural technologies to Latin American farmers, enhancing their production without compromising essential resources such as land, water, and energy."
For Lavoro, this partnership represents a significant advancement in its strategy of developing clean and alternative solutions for farmers.
"With the partnership, we will be better prepared to revolutionize how agriculture is conducted. In addition to driving the economy and strengthening the biologicals sector, the companies will contribute even more to food security and the sustainability of the agro chain," Lavoro CEO Ruy Cunha said.
Caio Suppia said in conclusion that he intended to "continue leading the development of innovative biological technologies for the soil, bringing through the largest distribution system in Latin America, which is Lavoro, the best solutions to farmers, with a value proposition focused on producing more, cleanly and sustainably."
