Hunan Haili’s 3,000-ton pirimiphos-methyl production unit begins operation

Chinese agrochemical company Hunan Haili announced on December 7, that the 3,000-ton pirimiphos-methyl production unit, built by its subsidiary Haili Guixi New Material Technology Co., Ltd, has been completed and put into operation. 

The plant is running very well, with product quality and yield being achieved up to expectation.

Pirimiphos-methyl is another blockbuster product of Haili Guixi following its carbosulfan. The project’s operation stands for the company’s new step towards high-quality development. 

Upon operation, the production of pirimiphos-methyl is expected to enhance the company’s industrial competitiveness and promote the company’s continued high-quality development. 

According to the company’s previous investment announcement, the 3,000-ton pirimiphos-methyl project is located in the new plant area of Haili Guixi at the sulphur and phosphorous chemical industry base in Guixi City, Jiangxi Province, with a planned investment of RMB172.98 million yuan, covering 3,000-ton pirimiphos-methyl production unit and supporting utilities. 

Pirimiphos-methyl is a high-efficient, low-toxic and low-residue organophosphorus insecticide with a fast-acting and long-lasting effect of control. It is used for the prevention and control of field crops and cash crop insect pests, having been recommended by the World Health Organization to control sanitary insect pests. It is a high-quality alternative to the product aluminum phosphide, which is a grain storage protective agent.

Haili Guixi Chemical Pesticide Co., Ltd was launched in 1997 between Hunan Haili Chemical Co., Ltd and Guixi Jinmao Asset Management Center. After more than ten years of steady development, the company has become one East China's largest insecticide and fungicide production bases.
