​Two new pesticide common names piperflanilide and isoflualanam provisionally approved by ISO

Two new pesticide common names have recently been provisionally approved by ISO.

Piperflanilide 

New common name provisionally approved for a meta-diamide insecticide from Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Co. The Chinese common name is 多氟虫双酰胺.

N-[3-[[[2-bromo-6-(difluoromethoxy)-4-[1,2,2,2-tetrafluoro-1-(trifluoromethyl)ethyl]phenyl]amino]carbonyl]-2-fluorophenyl]-2,2-difluoro-N-methyl-1,3-benzodioxole-5-carboxamide [2615135-05-0]

Please contact the Maintenance Agency no later then 28th May 2024 for any objections (for example, the name ″piperflanilide″ infringes on any trademarks). If no objections are received, then the name ″piperflanilide″ will become approved and will be included in the March 2025 update of the XML data set that is available to everyone who has purchased the second edition of ISO 1750.

Isoflualanam 

New common name provisionally approved for an isoxazoline insecticide from Qingdao KingAgroot Chemical Compound Co. The Chinese common name is 噁唑氟虫胺.
