Sino Agri Union to spend RMB582 million to launch an annual 700-ton cyflumetofen technical project

ChinaOn October 31, Chinese agrochemical company Sino Agri Union announced that the company plans to spend RMB582.14 million yuan in a newbuild of an annual 700-ton cyflumetofen technical project undertaken by Shandong United Pesticide Industry Co., Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sino Agri Union.
According to Sino Agri Union, the cyflumetofen technical project will benefit the company’s product structure optimization, which forms the company’s first-mover advantage in this product.
Cyflumetofen is a novel acylacetonitrile acaricide developed by Otsuka Chemical Co., Ltd, free of cross-resistance with the existing insecticides. In 2007, cyflumetofen was granted registration and sold for the first time in Japan for application to prevent and control major parasitic mites on fruit trees, vegetables, tea trees, and flowers.
