Expointer 2023 – Jacto launches precision spraying technology

The Brazilian multinational Jacto demonstrated for the first time the family of 5", 8", and 10" OTMIS displays during Expointer 2023, which received special coverage by AgroPages.

In addition to the more modern interface, says the manufacturer, the displays include features such as the Machine-to-machine system that allows sprayers to share agrochemical application maps.

According to Jacto, this solution allows one piece of equipment to identify where another has already applied, avoiding unwanted overlaps. In addition, OTMIS provides Remote Access and Diagnosis, which provides farmers with greater availability of the machine, as they can access Jacto's service and make the necessary consultations to take advantage of the onboard tools better. Another highlight of the new displays is the automatic maneuvering system at the end of the street, which saves the operator time and effort. Finally, the technology has a coupled rear directional system, allowing full autopilot use.

Another new feature that Jacto presented at Expointer 2023 was the digital solutions and services for digital agriculture from the Jacto Next division. During the event, the company demonstrated its EKOS platform, a solution promoting agricultural operations management. With the EKOS platform, the farmer can view all connected equipment and multi-brand systems present on the farm online. The platform allows monitoring of weather conditions, manages the agricultural fleet, and monitors variations in farming, among other elements.

At the Jacto Next space, fair participants will also be able to discover Smart Electronic Traps. This technology allows remote pest monitoring, available through the EKOS platform's Intelligent Integrated Pest Monitoring (MIIP) module. Finally, during Expointer, Jacto demonstrated its portfolio of spray nozzles and how each model provides different deliveries.

″Choosing the correct nozzle, taking into account the type of crop, application speeds, and the external environment are fundamental points to obtain better results,″ Jacto said in conclusion.
