In this position, McMunn oversees the commercial strategy for the ASEAN region, which comprises Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. He is based in Singapore and reports to Pramod Thota, FMC’s president for the Asia Pacific region.

″Simon’s leadership skills, his positive can-do attitude and deep industry knowledge have been pivotal to FMC’s success in Northern Europe. I am confident that these same attributes will enable Simon to drive growth throughout a diverse and complex market like ASEAN, while building on a firm foundation of superb product quality, and on a culture of innovation and customer-centricity,″ said Thota.

″I’m excited to work with our Asia Pacific colleagues and the ASEAN team to bring innovative new solutions that address grower needs. I also look forward to meeting farmers, customers and industry partners to better understand the challenges unique to this part of the world, and how FMC can support the move towards sustainable agriculture,″ said McMunn.

McMunn brings over 25 years' experience in the crop protection industry. He was most recently FMC’s Business Director for Northern Europe, a role he has held since 2020, after joining the company in 2018 as country leader for UK & Ireland. Prior to his time at FMC, McMunn held various commercial roles with companies in the crop protection industry.
