Aapresid Congress 2023 – SpeedAgro joins the Apolo Biotech platform

The Argentine company SpeedAgro announced the formation of a strategic alliance with the biotechnology platform Apolo Biotech, which is dedicated to the modulation of plant and pathogen genes using stabilized exogenous RNAs designed in the laboratory.

The novelty was first presented at this year's edition of the Aapresid Congress (Argentine Association of Direct Planting Producers) in the city of Rosario, province of Santa Fe, which was covered by AgroPages.

″This is a transgenic-free approach, which offers versatile solutions to increase productivity, conserving and taking advantage of local crop varieties,″ said Víctor Escalas, president of SpeedAgro.

According to the established partnership, it will be up to SpeedAgro to contribute all its know-how in the commercialization of inputs for the agricultural sector.

In addition, the company will contribute with its expertise developed in recent years in the research and development of products that replace traditional chemical solutions, to contribute to the global objective of more sustainable food production.

Meanwhile, Escalas informed us that another important project to be completed soon is the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) laboratory.

GLP consists of a quality assurance system that includes the management requirements and procedures for planning, conducting, monitoring, recording, archiving, and reporting studies and analyses performed in a laboratory.

The standard that establishes these implementation requirements is ISO 17025.

In addition, one of the objectives of the GLP is to avoid unnecessary repetition of tests and loss of time and resources, guaranteeing the quality of the data of the analyzes carried out and at the same time allowing them to be comparable and accepted between countries.

It is a system prepared for the quality and correct service of laboratories and requires the use of validated techniques.

″All this is part of SpeedAgro's commitment to consolidate itself as a global company″, they say.

The company recently entered the North American market to market its Xion line adjuvant palette.

On the other hand, during Aapresid, SpeedAgro reinforced its motto SpeedProtection, which points to the strategy of betting on the correct use of phytosanitary products, with adjuvants as a fundamental ally for them to be more effective and which subsequently translates into an increase in the income.

″All of this is made possible by technicians from all over the country and by a development department whose main objective is to make applications with the greatest awareness, and understanding that the sector is undergoing a cultural and paradigm shift towards the use of inputs with zero environmental impact.″, commented Escalas.

And he added: "On the other hand, SpeedProtection contemplates the proposal that SpeedAgro has, which offers a business integrated with its commercial network and the producer, and above all improves the overall profitability of the exploration".

In this context, the formulating plant is the main value that stands out in the company today, because it is a highly technical and automated factory.

″Our goal is to compete first and the entire structure has been preparing for this for years,″ continued Escalas.

According to him, the company's research team is integrated with institutions such as the Argentine Inta (National Institute of Agricultural Technology) and Conicet (National Council for Scientific and Technical Research) as well as private specialists, advancing with tests throughout the country, not only in extensive but also intensive productions.
