The National Association of Distributors of Agricultural and Veterinary Inputs (Andav), which organizes the annual Andav Congress, allocated the central theme of the plenary at this year's event as the ″Brazilian Agroeconomy: A look to the future.″ The event is taking place from August 8 to 10, 2023, at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo (SP).
Expecting to bring together some 10,000 people, the congress will witness the participation of ADAMA, a company that is part of one of the largest holdings in global agribusiness, and will be present with its portfolio of solutions, in addition to its sustainability program, the ADAMA Commitment for Intelligent Use of Agricultural Defensives (CUIDA), which provides training and lectures for farmers and sales channels in the field.
To present its differentiated portfolio to distributors, which stands out for its exclusive formulation technology and high-efficiency combinations, ADAMA will showcase an interactive presentation at the fair comprising a technology table composed of a multi-actionable screen, which allows visitors to interact with ADAMA's solutions developed to facilitate management for producers. The main advantage of this interactive stand is that it allows visitors to be the protagonists of the content, and select the categories they would like to know more about and according to their needs, whether biosolutions, herbicides, insecticides or fungicides. The aim is to show distributors how ADAMA interprets expectations of farmers, who are at the heart of its business and are increasingly inspired by it, as well as how the company can be an ally of its channels for delivering to producers.
The company will also highlight its exclusive formulation technology at the stand that focuses on sustainability, to meet the demand that farmers have been increasingly bringing to distributors. With more than 10 new solutions launched in the past three years in Brazil, ADAMA's advantages in its portfolio are formulation quality and technology, the result of making one of its strategic pillars a reference for innovative and making more sustainable formulations. Many of ADAMA's solutions have an exclusive combination of actives, resulting in unique solutions in the market that are easy to handle and apply, contributing to the sustainability of crops.
″As a worldwide requirement, sustainability has gained increasing importance in ADAMA's business. So we are focusing on adapting to help address the challenges of climate change and the growing global food crisis. And we are going to work more and more in this direction, either by bringing innovations to more sustainable formulations, such as the ones we will present at Andav, or our internal initiatives to reduce the use of resources in the production process,″ said Lydia Damian, Senior Manager of Communication and Sustainability.
The company's leadership, including Romeu Stanguerlin, CEO of ADAMA Brasil and Vice President for Latin America; Alexandre Pires, Director of Marketing and Communication; and Lydia Damian, Senior Manager of Communication and Sustainability in the Country, will also be present alongside regional directors and the field team, who will receive customers, congressmen and visitors at the event.
ADAMA C.U.I.D.A.
ADAMA C.U.I.D.A. is a platform that brings together ADAMA's commitments to sustainability and groups the company's initiatives into three pillars, which are economic, environmental and social. Under the economic pillar, Cuida da Lavoura, the company understands that a productive crop requires proper management and the best practices in application technology. In the environmental pillar, it takes care of the soil, which is where everything begins. Under the social pillar, Cuida de Você, it adopts and disseminates the best practices for the use and application of pesticides, contributing to the good health of farmers and end consumers.
With the ADAMA C.U.I.D.A. no Campo program, ADAMA has been increasing the number of training sessions for distributors and farmers this year. Among the topics in focus, training sessions are being held in partnership with AgroEfetiva, a company specializing in technology for the application of agricultural defensives, focusing on the differential of the TOV formulation, good practices for the use of pesticides, the correct sequence of mixing products in tank, and choosing the right spray nozzles to avoid herbicide drift.
Relationship program with distributors and cooperatives
After closely looking at its distribution network, which is currently responsible for a large part of the company's revenues, ADAMA created, in 2012, SOMAR ADAMA, a relationship program with sales channels between cooperatives and distributors, which has already received 500 million reais in investments over its 10 years of existence.
SOMAR aims to develop channels and create a deeper partnership, recognizing partners who aim to achieve a similar set of goals. Through a wide variety of options for utilizing resources, it is possible to invest in customer relationships, team training or channel development. There are some 700 projects annually, involving more than 140 resellers and cooperatives, in the major producing regions of the country.
