Corteva Agriscience presented the microbiological insecticide Tezpetix Beauve during Siconbiol 2023 (17th Symposium on Biological Control and 2nd Latin American Symposium on Biological Control).
The new bioinsecticide is a solution composed of an exclusive strain of the fungus Beauveria bassiana, isolated from Simbi BB 15.
According to the manufacturer, the tool complements chemical control and is aimed at handling the corn leafhopper (Dalbulus maidis), one of the main problems the crop’s producers face.
In addition to this pest, Tezpetix Beauve also has a recommendation for all crops with the occurrence of the biological target Bemisia tabaci, Dichelops melacanthus, Euschistus heros, and Hypothenemus hampei.
″The solution, aligned with the integrated pest management programs, contributes to the effective management of the leafhopper, avoiding damage due to stunting and protecting the productive potential of the crop,″ Corteva said.
The biological solution reinforces the company, in a combined offer, brings ″excellent deliveries in the field.″
According to Corteva, Tezpetix Beauve has a prolonged residual effect due to natural sporulation, showing ″proven and consistent effectiveness in Integrated Pest Management (IPM).″
BIONEMATICIDES
Corteva also presented to producers who visited the stand at Sincobiol 2023 the biological nematicides Inlayon (for soy and cotton) and Inlayon Eco (for sugarcane).
These are solutions aimed at efficiently controlling the main nematodes that cause crop damage.
According to the manufacturer, the objective is ″to maximize the productive potential of the plants and protect the roots, contributing to a healthier and more productive crop.″
″The products contain an exclusive strain (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens isolate SIMBI BS 10), discovered in Brazilian soil, which provides a broader control of the pest and brings better establishment of the plant,″ Corteva said in conclusion.
″Corteva has been reinforcing its commitment to providing farmers with sustainable tools that complement evolving agricultural practices with proven effectiveness,″ commented Cristiane Delic, Biological Portfolio leader at Corteva Agriscience for Brazil and Paraguay.
