Udragon Bioscience to invest RMB450 million to boost its production capacity

Recently, the environmental impact assessment documents for Zhejiang Udragon Bioscience Co., Ltd.’s renovation project of 2,050 t/a chemical pesticide technicals was posted on the official website of Zhejiang Udragon Pesticides and Chemicals Co., Ltd. The project, with a total investment of RMB450 million, is located at No. 1 Fangjiadai Road, Haiyan Economic Development Zone, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province.

Once completed, the project will have an annual production capacity of 2,050 tons of chemical pesticide technicals (TCs), including 600 t/a of prothioconazole, 50 t/a of ipconazole, 200 t/a of metconazole, 200 t/a of cyproconazole, 200 t/a of tiorantraniliprole, 200 t/a of zoxamide, 50 t/a of famoxadone, 50 t/a of spirobudifen, 200 t/a of MPPZ, 50 t/a of benziothiazolinone, and 250 t/a of fludioxonil.

Simultaneously, technical improvements will be made to the bromination process and etherification process for recycling of difenoconazole.

During the production process, all by-products can comply with relevant national or industry standards.

Zhejiang Udragon Bioscience Co., Ltd., originally a local state-owned pesticide factory, was established in 1978. It is now a subsidiary and the TC production base of Zhejiang Udragon Pesticides and Chemicals Co., Ltd. Its main products are pesticide technicals and intermediates, with an average annual production capacity of over 6,500 tons.
