Copercana 2023 – Ourofino Agroscience launches Punctual fungicide

The Brazilian company Ourofino Agrociência revealed the launch of the fungicide Pontual (Azoxistrobin + Cyproconazole + Chlorothalonil) for soybeans.

The announcement was made during this year's edition of the Agribusiness Fair Copercana, held between June 26th and 30th in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, and which received special coverage by AgroPages.

According to the manufacturer, Pontual is a ″complete fungicide for resistance control and management, combining the protective effect of multisite with the preventive effect of strobilurins and the curative effect of triazoles″.

This is because the product has an ″innovative formulation, with photoprotectors and exclusive surfactants for better fixation and covering of the leaves,″ Ourofino Agroscience explained.

This effect allowed each asset to ″arrive at the right place, in the exact amount and at the ideal time, resulting in high management performance,″ they stated.

″This triple mix makes it possible for each asset to reach the right place, in the exact amount and at the ideal time, resulting in high handling performance,″ the Brazilian company said.

″In partnership with different research institutions, dozens of evaluations were carried out under field conditions in the country’s main agricultural regions, with statistical evidence that proves the high performance of the fungicide Pontual,″ Ourofino Agrociência said.

In addition to Asian rust, the launched product also controls brown spot (Septoria glycines), anthracnose (Colletotrichum truncatum), leaf blight, brown spot (Cercospora kikuchii), and white spot (Corynespora cassiicola).

″The presence of Ourofino Agrociência at this event will be a good opportunity to present our complete portfolio of solutions for the cultivation of sugarcane and grains in all stages of its production cycle,″ said Gustavo Vigna, Marketing Manager of the company.

In the earlier editions, Agribusiness Copercana moved more than BRL395 million, demonstrating the potential and relevance of the event for the agricultural sector.

Among the solutions Ourofino Agrociência will highlight at the fair is DistintoBR (Isoxaflutol).

It is a highly effective pre-emergent herbicide in managing difficult-to-control grasses, such as crabgrass, crabgrass, signalgrass, and bitter grass, especially in dry seasons.
