LE-846-ADJUVANT-de-sangosse-1.jpgDe Sangosse Brasil first revealed to AgroPages the launch of the first ″fungicide enhancer″ in Brazil, the adjuvant, LE 846.

The product, formulated as an oil-type emulsion, is composed of fatty acid methyl esters (C16-C18 and C18 unsaturated).

According to the manufacturer, this is a unique and patented technology with a thixotropic effect, which is the ability to dynamically change the fluidity and viscosity of the spraying solution.

Subsequently, LE 846 ″significantly increases the deposition, retention and penetration of assets in plants, contributing to a more efficient and sustainable strategy,″ the company said.

Flávio Matarazzo Junior.jpeg″The composition of LE 846 incorporates thixotropic agents that change the fluidity and viscosity of the spray mixture over different application times, increasing deposition, coverage, retention and penetration and enhancing the efficiency of the fungicide,″ said agronomist Flávio Matarazzo Junior (Director of Development at De Sangosse).

Technically, thixotropy is a phenomenon that temporarily alters the viscosity and fluidity of certain mixtures when stirred or subjected to some force.

According to Matarazzo Junior, this property makes it possible to change the plasticity and dynamics of fluids temporarily.

The thixotropic agents present in the LE 846 formulation structure the mixture in the tank, but when force is applied, in this case by pumping and spraying during the application process, the mixture becomes more fluid and can be easily passed through nozzles.

After passing through the spray nozzles, this phenomenon of greater fluidity is reversed, making the drops more viscous again, resulting in much higher efficiency in the deposition, coverage and retention of actives applied on plants.

″The LE 846 enhancer is indicated for use on all crops, the dose is 1 liter of the product for every 100 liters of water, and it can be used with all fungicides,″ said Matarazzo Junior.

In addition to the various results already proven in many crops and countries, the technical department of De Sangosse Brasil has been conducting several protocols and field work that highlight the effects of the product under local management conditions. These trials were conducted on soybean, cotton, bean, potato, onion and carrot crops.

Efficiency tests of LE 846 carried out in the Brazilian Center-West region during the 2022/23 soybean crop showed an increase in productivity of up to eight bags per hectare, along with greater control efficiency and lower defoliation rates compared to management standards.

Matarazzo pointed out that the LE 846 technology is directly aligned with the company's commitment to developing products that contribute to more efficient, profitable and sustainable agriculture.
