Albaugh presented the fungicide Recop (Copper oxychloride) at its stand during the 48th edition of Expocitros, with exclusive coverage by AgroPages.
According to the manufacturer, Recop is ″today a strategic item for citrus health in the face of diseases of high economic relevance to the producer.″
Albaugh claims to have consolidated itself among citrus growers' reference technological solutions in the preventive management of citrus canker, anthracnose, scab, rubelose, gummosis, and others.
For the company, given the scenario of exposure of Brazilian orchards to fungal diseases, ″Recop has become one of the most important protective tools for citrus.″
According to Albaugh's Regional Citros, in addition to the effective control of these diseases – all of which have a high potential severity and have a direct negative impact on the quality of the orange juice – Recop also enhances the quality of the fruit, productivity, and profitability of the orchards.
In addition to the stand at the fair, Albaugh gathered its agronomic team from Regional Citros at the Sylvio Moreira Experimental Station at the Agronomic Institute (IAC).
The 48th Expocitros, the main citrus event in Latin America, was held in the city of Cordeirópolis in the Brazilian state of São Paulo.
In parallel, the 44th Citriculture Week is being held, with more than 7,000 participants during the meeting.
Albaugh maintains the most robust industrial plant in the world in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, dedicated to producing copper-based fungicides, positioned among the solutions most demanded by citrus growing in the country.
In addition to Recop, Albaugh's Regional Citros brings to Expocitros 2023 consistent indicators associated with using the Porcel 100 SC insecticide (pyriproxyfen).
According to the company, the solution is ″successfully used to control citrus mealybugs and citrus psyllid.″
