ADAMA, a company that is part of one of the largest agribusiness holdings in the world, announced a change in its organizational structure, which takes place after the departure of Ignácio Dominguez, CEO of ADAMA, in April.
With Steve Hawkins taking over the global role and no longer leading the Americas Region, which included business units in Latin America and the United States, one of the changes was the merging of the Brazil and Latin America business units, to bring enhanced commercial excellence and more efficiency to customers throughout the region.

With this move, the CEO of ADAMA Brasil, Romeu Stanguerlin, is now in charge of the LATAM Region, being appointed Senior Vice President LATAM, reporting directly to the new global CEO. The new region will encompass Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru, and will be managed from Londrina, Paraná, as the LATAM headquarters.
″The move is part of ADAMA's strategy to further strengthen collaboration between the businesses, building strong relationships with distributors and producers in all the locations where the company operates. The combination of Brazil and Latin America, which together covered US$1.6 billion in sales in 2022, offers great opportunities and will ensure our focus on the business goals of 2023,″ said Stanguerlin. In addition, current regional functional teams for the Brazil and Latin America business units will continue to support their respective units in the immediate term.
Stanguerlin joined ADAMA in June 2014 as Director of Marketing in Brazil. Since 2019, he has led ADAMA Brazil, the largest country in ADAMA's business and one of the fastest-growing crop protection markets in the world. With extensive industry experience, the executive previously worked at Syngenta for more than 20 years, occupying various leadership roles in different regions and countries.
