Aug. 15, 2011
From 8 August 2011, Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) has taken on the issue of product authorizations valid for the whole of the United Kingdom. Separate authorizations will no longer be issued for Northern Ireland by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for Northern Ireland (DARD-NI).
The new arrangements are being introduced under revised agency arrangements, between DARD-NI and the Health and Safety Executive, resulting from the implementation of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 concerning the marketing of plant protection products. This change will affect all new product authorizations issued after 8 August 2011, as well as any new amendment or withdrawal notices issued for products first authorized prior to that date.
