Biotrop, a company of natural and biological technologies for agriculture, inaugurated its global headquarters in the city of Vinhedo, in the interior of the State of São Paulo.

Resulting from an investment of BRL1.2 million, the inauguration celebrates the company's anniversary, founded in the same city, almost five years ago.

Antonio Carlos Zem.jpg″The biosolutions market is growing at an accelerated pace, either because of the desire and need for change on the part of farmers or because of the demand of a society that increasingly seeks safe and sustainable food,″ said Biotrop CEO, Antônio Carlos Zem.

He said, the company's objective at the new headquarters is to "architect and build the future of regenerative agriculture in Brazil."

Established in April 2018, Biotrop completed its fourth year with revenues close to BRL350 million. The goal for 2023 is to exceed R$700 million.

In addition to doubling the result yearly since its foundation, the company is attentive to opportunities.

In its first year, it invested in the purchase of Total Bio, which has been operating in the bioinput market for nearly 20 years.

″We are in the right place, at the right time, and, above all, with the right people. There are more than 500 professionals on the team. We will be even bigger in five years. That is because, soon, Brazil will be the main country of biological products for agriculture. And Biotrop is exporting national technology in this important and growing segment,″ Zem said.

A Brazilian company, Biotrop carries out extensive research on microorganisms and their functionalities in agriculture – for the development of plants and combating insects, fungi, and nematodes, for example.

The company has a bank with more than 900 functional strains and this innovation is already being taken to more than ten countries.

″Brazil is ahead of the world in the development of regenerative agriculture. With excellence in research and development, state-of-the-art technology, and, above all, offering effective and safe solutions, we will continue to grow and contribute not only to food production but to the country's environmental and economic sustainability,″ the CEO said in conclusion.
