Ningxia Wanbo Biotech’s annual 13,500-ton triazole sodium and sulfamide project brought on stream

Chinese agrochemical company Ningxia Wanbo Biotechnology Co., Ltd recently announced that the company’s annual 13,500-ton triazole sodium and sulfamide project, launched in the fine chemical industrial zone of Ningxia Pingluo Industrial Park, has been put into operation as planned.

Ningxia Wanbo Biotechnology Co., Ltd initiated its ″13,500-ton triazole sodium and sulfamide project″ in August 2018. EIA of which was approved by the Administrative Committee of Ningxia Pingluo Industrial Park on September 17, 2019 under ref NGGHF 201919. The construction of the project had officially started.

The project is a newbuild covering the production of annual 10,000 tons of triazole sodium, 500 tons of 5-Methoxy-4-Methyl-2,4-Dihydro-1,2,4-Triazol-3-One(MMT), 500 tons of Methyl 3-chloro-1-methyl-5-sulfamoyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate, 500 tons of Benzoic acid-2-(aminosulfonyl)-4-iodomethyl ester, 1,000 tons of 4,6-Dimethoxy-2-(methylsulfonyl)pyrimidine(MSDP) and 1,000 tons of 2-aminosulfonyl-N,N-dimethylnicotinamide.

The project is worth an investment of RMB 240 million, which includes RMB 59.56 million spending on the environmental facility, accounting for 24.11% of the project’s total investment. Till now, the production lines and supporting environmental facility have been built and are running for the production of all products covered by the project.

Ningxia Wanbo Biotechnology Co., Ltd was established in 2017, in the fine chemical zone of Ningxia Pingluo Industrial Park. The company is engaged in the production and sales of chemicals, including thiencarbazone-methyl technical, flucarbazone-sodium technical intermediate:5-Methoxy-4-Methyl-2,4-Dihydro-1,2,4-Triazol-3-One(MMT),halosulfuron-methyl technical intermediate: Methyl 3-chloro-1-methyl-5-sulfamoyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate, iodosulfuron-methyl sodium intermediate: Benzoic acid-2-(aminosulfonyl)-4-iodomethyl ester, nicosulfuron intermediates: 2-aminosulfonyl-N,N-dimethylnicotinamide. Ningxia Wanbo Biotechnology Co., Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weifang Wanbo Chemical Co., Ltd which was founded in 2006, being a high-tech enterprise specializing in research and production of pesticide intermediates and fine chemicals, covering Research&Development, production and marketing of novel sulfonylurea and triazole pesticide intermediates, with a strong pesticide research and production capacity. The main products include Methyl 3-chloro-1-methyl-5-sulfamoyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate series, 5-Methoxy-4-Methyl-2,4-Dihydro-1,2,4-Triazol-3-One(MMT) series, nicosulfuron series and quinclorac intermediates, in addition 1, 2, 4-triazole, triazole sodium salt and chloroethylene carbonate(CEC). Weifang Yuanye Biotechnology Co., Ltd, undertakes the sales and distribution of the products of Wanbo Group Company.

Ningxia Pingluo Industrial Park was established in 1996, located in Pingluo County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It consists of two parts: Circular Economy Industrial Park and Shizuishan Ecological Economic Zone, with a planned area of 150 square kilometers.

In recent years, Ningxia Pingluo Industrial Park has fully utilized its location and transportation advantages to set up a robust industrial foundation to grow the industrial chain which is made up of functional new materials, fine chemicals, green cyanamide and traditional industries, covering both the upstream and downstream of the industry sectors which complement each other.
