The European Commission has allowed EU member states to extend existing provisional approvals to 31 July 2013 for nine active ingredients: Agro-Kanesho’s acaricide, acequinocyl; Andermatt Biocontrol’s bioinsecticide, Adoxophyes orana granulosis virus strain BV-0001; Dow AgroSciences’ herbicides, aminopyralid and
pyroxsulam; Bayer CropScience/Nihon Nohyaku’s insecticide, flubendiamide, and Bayer’s herbicide, thiencarbazone; Syngenta’s fungicide, mandipropamid;
BASF/Nihon Nohyaku’s insecticide, metaflumizone; and German company S&A (Service und Anwendungstechnik)’s post-harvest treatment, phosphane. This is the second extension for acequinocyl, aminopyralid, mandipropamid and metaflumizone.
