According to its founders, the differential of the new company is to offer ″different credit conditions″ to Argentine rural producers.

Agroterrum was born from the initiative of agronomist Pablo Torasso, who, after more than three decades of experience in other companies in the pesticide market, decided to form his enterprise.

The new company was already born with several registrations approved at Senasa (National Food Safety and Quality Service) and announced that 40 formulations and private label products would be presented this year.

″After a search based on the expectations and needs of the Argentine market, we decided to have our main supplier in China, which supplies us with hundreds of active ingredients for the formulation of herbicides,″ Torasso explained.

Through a consolidated distribution chain in central and northern Argentina, being expanded in the southern region, Agroterrum has around 50 regional and provincial representatives for selling all products and facilitating services.

According to the new manufacturer, the focus is ″mostly on herbicides, meeting demand, with a complete palette for crops such as commodities and specialties. So, we are going to bring great solutions for insect control, completing the offer with fungicides for the main crops.″

Agroterrum's environmental strategy starts with selecting suppliers and formulating products but also with the step towards better toxicological classifications.

″Of the ten yellow belt products we currently have, we will have seven; from the 20 blue belts, we will increase to 27, and of the ten green stripes in the short term, there will be 13. The launch of the company's biostimulants is scheduled for 2025, to be increasingly more environmentally friendly and follow the path that Senasa is following,″ Torasso said.

The intention was to provide ″greater simplicity in serving producers, directly or through our representatives, he explained. The difference we have concerning other companies in the market is having complete information on suppliers, with a lot of basic data that generate better results in crops and, consequently, better business for our customers,″ he said in conclusion.

Agroterrum's Financial Manager, David Angeletti, explained the complementary service to finance the purchase of inputs.

"Today, the agricultural market is financial because the weather dictates the pace of economic results, so we have a concrete alternative in the area of credit," he pointed out.

″We have consolidated a priority contact in Sinosure, one of the largest risk insurers in China, which allows us to generate enough confidence in our clients to obtain financing,″ Angeletti explained during the company's presentation.

″Whoever has a financial portfolio and wants to access the products can get financing more quickly in up to 180 days for that purchase and complementary services, in an efficient way,″ he promised, revealing that in the last month, $33 million of credit was made available to 25 selected clients.
