CropLife International, the global federation representing the plant science industry, announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Emily Rees as the new President and CEO of CropLife International, effective March 13.
An economist by training, Emily’s expertise lies at the intersection of trade, climate, and agriculture. She brings a wealth of experience in economic diplomacy to CropLife International and, as an expert in international trade, she is passionate about ensuring open access to the tools and innovations to tackle global challenges around climate change, biodiversity, and food security.
A Franco-British national, Emily has served as France’s Trade Attaché to Brazil and led Brazil’s Trade and Investment Agency’s relations with the European Union.
″I have no doubt Emily will leverage this experience in her new role in order to further CropLife International’s mission of advancing innovation in agriculture for a sustainable future,″ said Erik Fyrwald, Chairman of the Board of Directors, CropLife International.
