In line with the global growth trend, one of the highlights at Show Rural Coopavel 2023 were biological inputs, whether formulated from enzymes, plant extracts, or macro and microorganisms.
At this Brazilian event, which was exclusively covered by AgroPages, some 15 companies, including Simbiosis, Biotrop, Biosphera, Ihara, UPL, Bayer, Basf, Corteva, and Syngenta, presented their developments to visitors.
In addition, the pavilion of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) showcased its research that made it one of the world’s main references for biosolutions.
″There is a growing global desire to reduce the use of chemical pesticides,″ said Dilvo Grolli, president of Coopavel, a cooperative that promotes the show.
According to Grolli, industries in the sector invest in research to ″respond to this very important appeal, and bioinputs have emerged as a most interesting and efficient alternative.″
″At the Rural Show, companies brought their best products in this area. I understand that the use of biological inputs is a one-way street in the continuous process of improving the global agribusiness chain,″ he said.
A survey released by the Brazilian event pointed out that 95% of rural producers it interviewed understood the need to invest in biopesticides to control crop pests and diseases.
The market for bioinputs is growing fast, and every day a greater number of companies are involved in research, to deliver the best possible solutions to farmers, the environment and consumers.
While combating plant enemies in a natural way, this technique also protects and strengthens the soil, reduces contamination, and is more safe for applicators.
SUCCESS IN BRAZIL
The event, held in the city of Cascavel in the state of Paraná, open the annual Brazilian calendar of technical exhibitions and fairs focused on agribusiness.
On Wednesday, February 8, 102,818 people visited the stands of 600 exhibitors, setting a record for the highest daily public participation in the history of the show’s 35 editions.
In the first three days of the event’s current edition, the number of visitors already reached 231,650 people.
″There are three consecutive records, both for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We are very happy because this is a very clear signal that rural producers are increasingly eager for news that will improve their rural properties, always with an eye on sustainability,″ Grolli said in conclusion.
