The signing ceremony for the launch of the Gansu Production Base (Gansu Beida Biotechnology Co., Ltd) of Zhejiang Udragon Pesticides and Chemicals, covering the annual 22,000-ton pesticide technical, 500-ton safener technical and 4,500-ton fine chemical intermediates, was held was held in Jinchang City Administrative Center, on January 5.
Wu Hualong, board chairman of Zhejiang Udragon Pesticides and Chemicals, Wang Naitao, board chairman of the partner company Gansu Liankai Biotechnology Co., Ltd, and local government leaders and other guests participated in the event.

Wu Hualong said in his speech that Udragon is a privately-run enterprise in Zhejiang with more than 20 years of business history, with products being sold across Europe, Asia, South America and North America. Udragon has decided to set up a new production base in West China to meet the domestic and international market demand. It selected Jinchang for its rich resources, honest and sincere people, efficient and pragmatic government, excellent investment environment and the ″industry-based city development initiative″ advocated by the government at all levels in Jinchang city. Hence, Udragon was confident of the city of Jinchang.
The company was prepared to accept the project as an opportunity to achieve the objective of its corporate mission and promote the corporate spirit of ″people and work safety first, professionalism and innovation foremost,″ which is expected to take root in Jinchang, thus endeavoring to successfully cultivate and operate the businesses in Jinchang to reward the city of Jinchang with a first-class performance.

Udragon’s Gansu Production Base covers a planned land area of 630 mu (1 mu = 1/15 hectare), with a floor area of more than 200,000 square meters, employing more than 600 people. Through an advanced production process, state-of-the-art digital production control system and modern production planning, the company can place an upgraded high-level work safety and pollution control system and build the facility into a first-class modernized digital pesticide research, development and production base.
After construction of the production base, its production capacity will cover an annual 22,000-ton pesticide technical, 500-ton safener technical and 4,500-ton fine chemical intermediates, including difenoconazole, prothioconazole, zoxamide, tiorantraniliprole, flufenacet and fludioxonil.
