Marrone Bio Innovations, a leading provider of effective and environmentally friendly natural pest management products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Elin D. Miller to its Board of Directors.
"The company will benefit greatly from Elin’s leadership and advice,” said Pam Marrone, Founder and CEO of the company. “Her broad knowledge and management experience in both the business and regulatory aspects of the agricultural industry are very well-known and respected.”
Miller currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the biopesticide company Vestaron Corporation, Kalamazoo, MI. From 2006 to 2009, she accepted a Presidential appointment as Regional Administrator of the EPA in Region 10, where she successfully led and developed strategic direction for all aspects of enforcement and implementation of US Environmental Law. Prior to that she led Arysta Lifesciences as President and CEO of North America and Australasia. Before Arysta, Elin held various positions including Global Vice President of Public Affairs and Vice President, Pest Management and Vice President, Asia Pacific for Dow Agrosciences/Dow Chemical. Elin’s early career included directing the CA Department of Conservation and serving as Chief Deputy Director of the Department of Pesticide Regulation at CalEPA.
Ms Miller holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy/Plant Protection. She also served as National VP Future Farmers of America (FFA), later as Chairman of the Board of RISE, and on the Boards of CropLife America and American Farmland Trust. Miller also has received numerous awards and honors, including the Lea Hitchner Award, the highest honor in the crop protection industry for life long contributions. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the National FFA Individual Giving Council, the local Umpqua Community Development Corporation and was recently elected to the Umpqua Community College Board of Trustees.
