HELM AG and Unium Bioscience Ltd announce to enter into a strategic partnership. The new relationship between Unium and HELM will allow HELM to access alternative crop production products in selected regions underlining both companies’ commitments towards sustainable agriculture by supplying innovative solutions answering grower needs to the market.
Unium Bioscience Ltd (″Unium″) and HELM AG (″HELM″) have agreed on a long-term partnership as of June 2022, following HELM´s strategy to become a leading global player in innovative crop solutions.
The distribution agreement is a result of an existing collaboration in product development and will enable HELM to distribute selected products in dedicated markets. Initially the partnership will focus on bringing selected Unium products to US, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. Details on products and additional markets will be shared in the near future. The companies look forward to working with each other closely by bringing value to both sides, business partners and growers.
Michael Kuhlmann, Executive Vice President Crop Protection at HELM outlines the importance of developing long-term partnerships and accessing new technologies: ″We have always valued working with innovative companies. In the past we mostly focused on classic plant protection. Now is the time to enter equally in alternative solutions.″
The goal is to move the HELM portfolio towards a more sustainable system. ″We started with SKYFLD, a digital farming tool to help manage inputs better. Alongside we continue to invest in smart crop analytic tools like CropX and Plantix. The collaboration with Unium allows us to continue this work and to access new sustainable, science-based technologies that can contribute to a balanced food and feed production″.
John Haywood of Unium is convinced: ″HELM is a perfect match to grow our footprint of products into new markets. Unium tools have a proven performance to help farmers in their efficiency and growing crops towards their full genetical yield potential. Combining tools with HELM will create synergies, addressing future global supply needs and will bring value to the market, distributors and farmers″.
