Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group established, forming an upstream and downstream industry chain synergy

On November 4, the inaugural meeting of the Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group was held in Shangyu, Zhejiang, as participated by 10-plus representatives from Nanjing Red Sun, Yonon, Shandong Luba, Guangxi Xintiande Energy, Hebi Saike and China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA).

To accelerate the high-quality and sustainable development of the diquat industry chain, the Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group issued a joint initiative calling on pesticide production and operation entities to strictly observe laws and regulations as applicable to pesticide production and operation, as well as to regulate the production and operation activities of the diquat industry chain.

Joint Initiative of Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group:

1.Production and operation in compliance. The Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group is launched jointly by Nanjing Red Sun, Yonon, Shandong Luba, Guangxi Xintiande Energy and Hebi Saike. The collaboration group shall operate production and business activities according to law, as supervised by China Crop Protection Industry Association.

2.Regulated production and operation. In order to ensure a sound and robust development of the diquat industry chain, the Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group shall form an integrated upstream-downstream supply chain in respect of supply of raw materials and intermediates; shall monitor, supervise and support each other with self-discipline; shall not provide raw materials and intermediates to unlawful diquat producers; shall not sell finished products to unlawful producers or processers to prevent harmful products flowing into market, thus, ensuring the quality of diquat sold on the market.

3.Promotion of technological advancement. The members of the Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group shall organize regular exchanges among its members to gather the knowledge and wisdom of the whole industry; shall adhere to innovation of green and clean production techniques; shall continue improvement of the technical level of the diquat industry chain; shall assume social responsibility in a more intensified manner; and shall promote a sound and robust development of the green and low-carbon diquat industry chain.

4.Combat against unlawful production and operation. All members of the Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group shall make a joint contribution to setup of a special fund for combat against unlawful production and operation; shall employ senior lawyers to form an anti-counterfeiting legal team to crack down unlawful diquat productions.

5.Self-inspection and self-correction in compliance with legal requirement. The production and operation activities of all members of the Chinese Diquat Industry Chain Collaboration Group shall be made public and subjected to supervision from pesticide users and the public. While legitimate rights and interests are safeguarded, disputes shall be settled properly to eliminate any adverse impacts; all members shall cooperate in the activities of supervision and law enforcement from authorities in charge.
