WTC.jpgThe agrochemical multinational Bayer announced the expansion of its operations in Portugal this week by inaugurating its new facilities at the World Trade Center (WTC) Lisbon, in the presence of AgroPages.

Bayer's new headquarters has a total area of approximately 1250 m2 and aims to provide an environment adjusted to the new work models, encouraging the co-creation of innovative projects.

Bernardo Kanahuati, CEO of Bayer Iberia (Spain and Portugal), said the new facilities promote a space for collaboration between employees, where Bayer's innovative working model will be applied, which allows working in a mixed regime – face-to-face and remotely.

Marco Dietrich, Managing Director and Country Division Head in Portugal, spoke of a ″new beginning″, after completing more than 100 years of its presence in the country.

″We are transforming the company and, for me, [the new space] is a symbol that this is true. This transformation is not like writing a new chapter but a new book. We want to be much faster, with better solutions for our customers,″ explained.

"This decision reflects Bayer's strong commitment to the national market, its employees, and the local community in favor of a resilient, sustainable, and competitive economy," Dietrich explained.

″The space we are planning will certainly contribute to Bayer's current culture and to live our LIFE values (Leadership, Integrity, Flexibility and Efficiency) in the best way,″ she added.
