The WIN Conference opens celebrations of Biolchim’s 50th anniversary

The 3rd edition of the International WIN Conference coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the company specializing in special fertilizers and biostimulants represents the opportunity to take stock of the Group's research and development advancements.

WIN -the Worldwide Innovation Network- is the international platform of collaboration Biolchim funded more than ten years ago to boost innovation in solutions for plant nutrition. Through WIN, Biolchim has developed and optimized the most successful biostimulants in its range that are now marketed worldwide. At the Win Conference Biolchim anticipates the newest solutions being developed and offers to the partners a view of the current projects.

The event, held in Bologna on October 5th, was attended by representatives of the group and by WIN partners: national and international academics and researchers of agricultural CROs who tested the products’ performances on different crops and agronomic conditions.

Leonardo Valenti, CEO of Biolchim, opened the Conference: "The Win event is finally back and with great enthusiasm falls with the fiftieth year of the establishment of Biolchim. A coincidence that makes us very happy and gives us the opportunity to show the commitment and importance of the work done over the years. The concept of Win starts from the desire to create partnerships to develop Biolchim projects with more determination″.

The WIN collaboration network consists today of more than 100 high-profile partners including universities, research centres, laboratories, and private test facilities.The talks of the day addressed the topics of microorganisms, the induction of resistance to environmental stress, water and nutrients use efficiency among others.In particular, microbial-based products have been a major field for Biolchim’s research and development, who directed efforts towards the possibility of creating synergy between biostimulants and products based on microorganisms. Efforts that have led to the integrated strategy of Vhera and Vhera Life, bioenhancers of the rhizosphere: Vhera is based on microorganisms, Vhera Life is a biostimulant which fortifies and nourishes the soil microbiome, favouring the development of new roots and supporting the growth of plants under stressful conditions. 

Celebrations continued with a gala dinner during which the whole staff had the chance to share some moments of entertainment and reflection over the team spirit that is needed for a company to reach the 50 years milestone.
