APVMA to approve Nominee? Herbicide

The APVMA is considering an application for the registration of the new active bispyribac sodium in the product Nominee® Herbicide (APVMA product number 63233).
APVMA invite comment from 5 July 2011 to 2 August 2011 on whether the application for registration/approval should be granted.
The Public Release Summary outlines a brief overview of the assessment that has been conducted by the APVMA and the specialist advice received from its advising agencies.
The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds for registration, including:
• public health aspects
• occupational health and safety
• chemistry and manufacture
• residues in food
• environmental safety
• trade
• efficacy
