Lansheng Biotech to build an extended capacity of annual 20,000-ton clethodim 37% TK

ChinaIn July 2022, the environmental impact assessment of a production extension of Lansheng Biotech Co., Ltd was undertaken by local government for review, covering an annual 20,000-ton clethodim 37% TK.
The annual 20,000-ton clethodim production line is located in Mayu Industrial Park of Hebei Jinzhou Economic Development Zone of China. The product clethodim is a highly selective and systemic stem and leaf treatment agent.
The process starts with 5-[2-(Ethylthio)propyl]-3-hydroxy-2-propionyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one and (3-trans-Chloroallyl) oxyamine which are used as starting raw materials while solvent oil is applied as the reaction solvent, resulting in the clethodim crude formed by certain temperature condition and agitation; then the organic phase and the aqueous phase are isolated via liquid separation, of which organic phase is added with solvent oil and mixed leading to clethodim 37% TK while water phase is recovered in (3-trans-Chloroallyl) oxyamine.
