Renato Seraphim appointed Chief Marketing Officer of UPL Brasil

UPL Brasil announced the appointment of Renato Seraphim as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

An agronomist by training, Seraphim has 25 years of experience in agriculture, with a remarkable track record in global and national agri-input companies and contributions to key initiatives, such as the Soybean Strategic Council (CESB), being recognized by the market as a connoisseur of agriculture, especially the agrochemicals business.

″I arrive with happiness and motivation at UPL, a company that I admire. This is an incredible moment, as I work for a company that contributes to the success of farmers through offering new and sustainable technologies to achieve increased productivity and efficiency while respecting people and the environment,″ Seraphim said.

UPL's new CMO then highlighted the company's focus on farmers’ success, stating, ″We have other important pillars, but this is our most important reason for being here. Our energy is focused on creating conditions that offer the best results for our partners.″ 

Seraphim noted UPL’s focus on sustainability through investment in a range of areas, ″starting with the Open Ag platform offering open and collaborative innovation, through creating Natural Plant Protection (NPP), a brand that consolidates UPL’s line of biosolutions, as well as the signing of the Global Pledge, a commitment to zero net carbon emissions by 2040, and the Gigaton Carbon Goal, which aims to remove 1 gigaton of CO₂ from the atmosphere by 2030. These are fantastic initiatives, which show the company’s clear position with an eye on the future of the planet.″

Seraphim will also enable UPL to further value the work of rural producers, from small to large. ″Farmers are the heroes of my story. They have already done a lot for food production and, as they incorporate new technologies and innovation, they contribute even more to strengthening Brazil as a producer of food to the world. UPL wants to be closer and support this fantastic work in the field. This is a commitment that further motivates me to work for this organization,″ he said in conclusion.
