Syngenta announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Agro Jangada, a distributor of agricultural inputs located in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. This acquisition allows Syngenta to bring its latest innovations and technologies to customers, as well as further growth in the region, relying on the skills and presence of Agro Jangada in collaboration with the current distribution network.

With its six distribution centers, Agro Jangada is a great example of the best distributors in our network: highly engaged, committed and able to contribute to the success of Brazilian farmers″, says Juan Pablo Llobet, Regional Director of Syngenta Crop Protection at Latin America and Brazil.

With this acquisition, Agro Jangada becomes part of our Commercial Platform, and will act in coordination with our current distribution network″, explains André Savino, General Director of Syngenta's Commercial Platform.
Agro Jangada will continue to operate independently under its own brand. Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by CADE, the Brazilian body that regulates mergers and acquisitions. The amounts involved will not be disclosed.
