China to halve port construction charges on agrochemical productsqrcode

The MOA (Ministry of Finance) and MOT (Ministry of Transport) have jointly issued a rule concerning about Port Construction Charges on some commodities which will come into force on October 1st 2011.

Levy standard is 4 Yuan per ton on domestic goods for export purpose and 5.6 Yuan per ton for overseas products. Agrochemical products such as pesticides and fertilizers will enjoy a 50 percent reduction of Port Construction Charges.

All transported products involved in external treaty port areas such as docks, floats, anchorages were subjected to the rules. Ports above Nanjing on the Yangtze River and other inland ports will levy by half according to the rule.
