Ningxia Yifan’s clethodim product upgrade and expansion project approved

On May 19, 2022, the environmental impact assessment of the clethodim upgrade and expansion project of China's Ningxia Yifan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was approved, marking the official approval of the project and the start of its implementation. After completing the upgrade and expansion, Ningxia Yifan’s clethodim output is expected to reach 6,000 tons per year, enabling it to capture a larger market share and further influence the clethodim market.

The upgrade and expansion project was launched by Ningxia Yifan to adapt to market changes, requiring an investment of Yuan100 million on a newbuild with an annual 3,000-ton clethodim capacity.

Ningxia Yifan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has launched a pesticide technical and intermediate project in the New Materials Park of the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Zone, which is planned for implementation over three phases, with a projected annual output of 250,000 tons of pesticide technical and intermediates covering fungicides, herbicides and insecticides. Phase I of the construction of the project kicked off in April 2019, and in October 2020, Ningxia Yifan held the opening ceremony of the production base that will produce clethodim. In November 2021, phase I of the production of clethodim successfully passed several completion acceptances, eventually achieving a production capacity of 3,000 tons per year.
