Hailir’s subsidiary to launch Phase I trial production of chlorfenapyr, diafenthiuron, difenoconazole and propiconazole

Hailir announced the completion of the installation and commissioning of a pesticide technical and intermediate facility, as implemented by its wholly-owned subsidiary Qingdao Hengning Biotechnology, covering annual 2,000-tons of chlorfenapyr, 2,000 tons of diafenthiuron, 3,000 tons of difenoconazole and 2,000 tons of propiconazole. 

An expert team will review the trial plan in a few days. The trial production will start after the approval of the trial plan. 

Qingdao Hengning Biotechnology Co., Ltd was established in Pingdu Xinhe Ecological Chemical and Technological Industry Base on July 11, 2020, at an investment of Yuan2 billion by Hailir Group for a new build of an annual capacity of 40,000 tons of pesticide technicals and intermediates, supported by the company’s Green Hengning Initiative.

On December 28, 2020, Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment officially approved Hengning Biotechnology’s Phase I project covering chlorfenapyr, diafenthiuron, difenoconazole and propiconazole, which is a sign of the official start of the construction of the 40,000-ton agrochemical and intermediate project of the Hailir Group.

On February 7, 2021, Hengning Biotechnology’s Phase II pesticide technical project was submitted to Qingdao Pingdu Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, which stands for another big step forward in Hailir Group’s biological development. 

Qingdao Hengning Biotechnology Co., Ltd follows the international design and operation practices as based on the advanced equipment, continuous process, automatic run, clean workshop and a green plant. The goal is to take industrial development ten years ahead toward the objective of “a humanistic Hengning, a smart Hengning and a green Hengning.” It will pave the way for Hailir Group’s future pesticide technical and intermediate development on a sustainable basis.
