FMC presented the global launch of its new brand, Biológicos da FMC, during National Biological Week held in March in Brazil.
During the launch, several activities were carried out, including an event that brought together those in the industry to exchange information on management and trends in the biological market in Brazil.
At the event, FMC discussed the big step the company is taking to unite chemical and biological pest control, in line with the growing demand by farmers for sustainable products.
“Since starting this journey, FMC has registered successful results at every step, with products that have already won important awards. Our biologicals have the power to increase crop productivity, while minimizing impacts on the environment,” said Antônio Soares, Plant Health Manager at FMC.

“The new brand was launched to raise productivity and find new modes of action and modern solutions for sustainable agriculture for future generations, aiming at productivity, which is of great importance at this moment for us at FMC,” said Brusantin.
At the meeting, the situation of abiotic factors, such as drought, was a topic addressed. and FMC displayed their line of biopotentiating products, such as Crop Evo and Seed+, which can be used in seed treatment or via foliar applications to protect crops from the effects from the stresses caused by high temperatures and lack of rain, thus protecting the productive roof of the crops.
Another topic addressed was the control of nematodes, in which the Quartz bionematicide solution was the focus. The product is highly effective in the control of nematodes in several crops, being applied via the planting furrow, and is recommended for the control of Lesions nematode (Pratylenchus zeae and P. brachyurus) and root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica).
Another highlight was the bionematicide Presence, which is applied in the treatment of seeds before planting to control nematodes in soybean, corn and cotton in other crops. These two innovative products won the “Best Biological Product – New Products” award at the Agribusiness Intelligence Crop Science Forum and Awards.
