Xingyu Chemical’s Quizalofop-p-ethyl granted EU technical equivalence, stable and high-quality supply guaranteed

Quizalofop-p-ethyl is a leading product from Hefei Xingyu Chemical Co., Ltd. (Xingyu Chemical), having been granted technical equivalence in the European Union (EU) on September 14, 2021. The issuing of the technical equivalence will pave the way for Xingyu Chemical’s advancement in the EU market.

Quizalofop-p-ethyl is derived from quizalofop-ethyl, which was developed by Nissan Chemical in 1983, being an (R)-quizalofop ethyl. Its mechanism of action is based on weed stem leaf absorption, up and down conduction inside plants, and accumulation on the top of a plant and the intercalary meristem, inhibiting cellular fatty acid synthesis and, therefore, causing the death of weeds. It is also a novel dryland stem leaf treatment agent, which is highly selective between grass weeds and dicotyledonous crops, being effective in controlling grassy weeds affecting broad-leaved crop fields. It is fast acting, has low toxicity and low residue, and offers a stable effect while not being susceptible to environmental conditions, such as rain, temperature and humidity. 

Crops for application: Crops and fruit trees, including soybean, sugar beet, rapeseed, potato, flax, pea, broad bean, tobacco, watermelon, cotton, peanut and broad-leaved vegetables, as well as forestry, nursery garden, young forest tending and alfalfa.

Objects for control: Annual and perennial grass weeds, including wild oat, barnyard grass, green bristlegrass, setaria glauca, crab grass, wild millet, eleusine indica, amur foxtail, eragrostis, moleplant seed, bromegrass, barley, Italian ryegrass, lolium temulentum, panicum, bluegrass, paspalum distichum, Bermuda grass, cogongrass, quackgrass and reed.
