Quizalofop-p-ethyl, bentazone and nicosulfuron projects of Hefei Xingyu Chemical’s subsidiary granted environmental approval

A few days ago, the environmental impact assessment pertaining to the pesticide technicals and intermediates projects of Gansu Xinyu (Western) Chemical Co., Ltd. was approved by local environmental authority, which stands for achievement of a new milestone of the projects.

The above projects are located within Gansu Yumen East Building Material Industrial Park, which take an investment of Yuan870 million, covering 300 mu of land with 124 mu of floor area (1 mu = 667 square meters). The projects will be constructed in two phases: phase I encompasses annual 9,500-ton pesticide technicals which include 1,000-ton 2,6-dichloroquinoxaline and 1,000-ton 2-amino-6-chlorobenzothiazole; phase II encompasses annual 7,500-ton pesticide technicals which include 1,000-ton quizalofop-p-ethyl, 500-ton quizalofop-P-tefuryl, 500-ton penoxsulam, 2,000-ton bentazone, 500-ton metamifop, 500-ton fenoxaprop-p-ethyl, 1,000-ton nicosulfuron and 1,000-ton fluroxypyr-mepthyl.

The above projects, after completion and becoming operational, are expected to generate annual sales of Yuan1.6 billion and taxes of Yaun80 million while providing more than 200 job opportunities. 

Gansu Xinyu (Western) Chemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hefei Xingyu Chemical. The company was founded in September 2020, being located within Gansu Yumen East Building Material Industrial Park, taking a land are of 400 mu. It is the first enterprise landed in the building material industrial park. Upon completion of these projects, the company will possess six standard workshops equipped with automated facilities. The construction period is estimated to be 12 months.

Its mother company, Hefei Xingyu Chemical, was founded in 2004, being a high-tech enterprise dedicated to research and development of high-quality agrochemicals. It is a top 100 pesticide enterprise of China. In 2021, Wynca spent Yuan180 million having acquired 53.17% of stakes in Hefei Xingyu Chemical.
