Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping is now being widely used in cereal genetics and breeding. It is used for the characterization of genetic resources, breeding germplasm and varieties. Many cereal species (wheat, triticale, oat) are allopolyploid species which makes high-precision genotyping and allele calling difficult.

On February 16, SGS will host a live webinar to introduce the genotyping expertise of SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS GmbH TraitGenetics Section (SGS IF TG) for various cereal species. SGS’ high density, intermediate density and low-density genotyping arrays are optimized to reliably generate high-quality genotypic data. Join the webinar to learn more about cereal genotyping for research and plant breeding.

Webinar agenda:

Introduction

Genotyping wheat

Genotyping barley

Genotyping rye/triticale

Conclusion

Q&A

This webinar is open to everyone in the plant breeding and plant genetics sector (public and private) that is interested in cereal genotyping for research and development. If appropriate, please forward this announcement to potentially interested colleagues in your company/institution.
