Ozkan joined ADAMA in 2017 as Head of Sales in Turkey and was promoted to be General Manager of Turkey in 2018. Under his leadership, ADAMA Turkey doubled its sales and significantly improved its profitability, in a challenging and volatile market.

“I’m delighted to congratulate Sahin on his appointment as head of our India business,” said Yossi Goldshmidt, VP India, Africa & Middle East. “India is an immense market that’s a strategic asset for ADAMA,” Goldshmidt continued. “We are pleased to have someone as experienced as Sahin, with a thorough understanding of ADAMA’s values as well as significant experience in our industry, coming to lead the team. His appointment is testimony to ADAMA’s commitment to growing people from within the company and providing global career advancement opportunities.”

ADAMA India is one of the country’s top three crop protection companies in what is the world’s sixth largest agricultural market. As one of ADAMA's largest commercial units and the driving force behind the India, Africa & Middle East region, India has led the significant double-digit growth seen in the region in 2020 and its strong performance in the first 9 months of 2021.

“I am honored and excited to take on the role of leading ADAMA India,” Ozkan said. “I look forward to working closely with the highly professional India team, who are committed to listening to the farmer, and delivering products and services that provide solutions to their needs.”

Ozkan has had a 30-year career in agri-business leadership roles. Prior to joining ADAMA he was Commercial Manager of Rotam Life Sciences for Turkey and the Middle East, and before that he spent 18 years at BASF, where his last role was Head of Marketing for Turkey. He holds an Agricultural Engineering degree from Ege University, in Izmir Turkey, followed by an MBA from the Izmir University of Economics.
