Strategic brand cooperation of mancozeb product Dithane executed between Limin Group, Syngenta China and SF Biochemical

On November 22, Limin Group Co., Ltd (Limin Group) executed a strategic cooperation agreement with Syngenta (China) Investment Co., Ltd (Syngenta China) and Jiangsu State Farm Biochemical Co., Ltd (SF Biochemical), at Syngenta’s Shanghai Head Office, China. The signing ceremony was attended and witnessed by top management of the three companies, including Fan Chaohui , President of Limin Group, Ding Song, Vice President of Syngenta China and Zhu Yue , President of SF Biochemical.

A 5-year long-term agreement has been reached among Limin Group, Syngenta China and SF Biochemical, where Limin Group authorizes Syngenta China exclusive rights of brand development of Dithane Golden package covering channel management, market development and brand operation. Meanwhile, Limin Group authorizes SF Biochemical exclusive rights of brand development of Dithane Green package for channel management, market development and brand operation including Taosan, Yousheng, Dashengfu and Chunsheng. 

Limin Group wishes to make full use of the formula, process and quality advantages of its Dithane brand while making reference to the advanced brand development concept, asset management experience, market exploration practices and the service provision of Syngenta China and SF Biochemical. The strategic cooperation will open up a new journey for the legendary brand of Dithane.

Earlier, on October 28 , Limin Group entered into an agreement with Corteva Agriscience LLC, using its own fund of $20 million to purchase the mancozeb assets of Corteva Agriscience China (including transfer of proprietary technology, trademarks, registration data, efficacy data, grant of licensing registration data to buyer, licensed use of packaging design and labels). The purchased assets have included the representational mancozeb brand - Dithane M-45. 

Since being introduced into the Chinese market, after 20-year promotion and development, Dithane M-45 has played an important role in prevention and control of various crop diseases. It is a highly reputed product and a first-class fungicide brand well-recognized among the industry.
