According to Chinese State Grid, the power supply has returned to normal within the service area of the State Grid Corporation. The power supply to households and commercial services has also been secured, through increased coal supplies for power generation.
It is reported the State Grid Corporation has maintained rebounded coal stocks weighing 99.32 million tons that will last for 20 days, significantly increasing power generation capacity. The number of the company’s repair unit and units under restriction has both fallen, as coal-fired power generation has increased significantly. The “orderly power supply” has decreased significantly, the scale of the largest “orderly power supply” within the grid has decreased significantly, and the gap in power supply has narrowed significantly.
On the same day, Zhejiang Energy Administration issued a “notice on suspension of power supply restrictions,” which stated according to the recent power supply and demand situation in Zhejiang Province, it was decided to suspend the implementation of the “orderly power supply” in the province from 8th November.
Prior to this, similar notices have been issued in Fujian and other provinces. It is reported as of 6th November, except for a few of provinces where an “orderly power supply” still meets the needs of high energy consumption and high polluting productions, the “orderly power supply” measure has come to nearly zero, meaning the nationwide restriction in power supply since September has almost come to an end.
