What is Tentamus?

The Tentamus Group provides expert testing services for global markets. The founding principles were to provide essential services for essential products, to enhance and improve human life. The services we provide focuse on products taken internally or fundamentally directly affecting human life and the work is directed to AgChem, Food and Pharmaceutical markets.

What makes Tentamus Group uniquely different is the acquisition of expert services who are close to the markets and clients; this is fundamentally different to other laboratories who I believe are too far removed from the clients. We prefer to be close and have over 80 locations worldwide. In Asia we have 5 labs in greater China and 2 labs in Japan; of these total 7 laboratories 3 were started from the beginning as start-up and 4 were acquired.

In addition, what make Tentamus Group uniquely different is the entrepreneurial feel of the company where our experts are encouraged to follow their knowledge and understanding of the market and develop new areas of business. Most of this is quite simply listening to clients telling us what they need, and we will supply the expertise and finance to fill the gap in the market. However, it is also a fundamental knowledge of the available technology, regulations and the business process to supply the market with essential services.

Although, not unique, we are in a small group who can assist testing and registration services in the Americas (North and South) and Europe including the UK.

Why did you enter the Asia market?

We were offered to acquire laboratories in Asia. This we did and have been providing local services (pesticide residues and other local food testing services) while assessing the AgChem market and the unique nature of business in Asia. We also have been recruiting and placing people with the best skills to provide Tentamus services for the AgChem market. Although the start was interrupted by the global pandemic, we now believe we have the correct laboratories, people and testing services to provide the best services to our Asian clients.

What do you do in Asia? 

Provide a link into and out of Asia; in addition we provide local markets with local services and support.

What can you do for the AgChem market?

Tentamus Group have been for long time providing laboratory testing services and regulatory support for new actives and formulations in development programs, generics pesticide formulations, and biocides registration packages for non-agriculture use. We also provide specific expertise and support programs for biostimulants and fertilisers.

What expert services do you offer? 

Our higher tier ADME facilities in both EU and USA are in demand for essential safety testing related to large animal residues, chemical testing and field trial support. Specifically, we can offer 5 batch analysis and compilation of Technical Equivalence. We work with our preferred Regulatory Partners in both EU and USA to provide a single service for entry to EU and USA markets. I will be announcing more in the near future through AgroPages.

What can you offer different to other suppliers？

We offer expertise and competence in supporting the Chinese market to export their products, with the current local team operating in China since 2008. The local team also brings more than 30 years of global experience of product development, testing and registration in EU and USA markets. 

In addition, our acquisitions support our clients to expand and participate in global markets. 

Furthermore, Tentamus Group don`t restrict expansion, rather they re-invest a big part of Group profits back into the business in facilities, equipment and recruitment.

There are many companies, and for longer time in China, how can you compete? 

It is true for the entire global market and not just China, many companies are offering similar services. However, the unique services of Tentamus Group is to provide expertise and support locally to our clients. This approach has made an enormous impact in all of the Tentamus business sectors and we are seeing a year-on-year increased demand in our services. Our business has been growing without the need for a formal and full-time sales team, the clients have been arriving by recommendation from other clients and an appreciation of our expertise. 

What is the future?

For Tentamus Group there will be a continued expansion in the network of expert laboratories. The growth will be part organic growth, part start-up, and acquisition to offer excellence and expertise for clients and their product development and registration. For me personally I will be visiting with AgChem companies in China and would invite customers to know the advantage of Tentamus.
