With an initial investment of US$300,000 and looking to increase that investment in the next five years, Foragro launched its operations in Panama.

Thanks to this opening, Foragro now has operations throughout the Central American region and consolidates its position as a leader in the sector dedicated to producing and distributing products for the protection and sanitation of crops.

“The vision of the company is to promote agricultural development throughout the region. We are committed to delivering quality products, seeking to offer the best advice and excellent support for pre and post-sale service to make available the appropriate solutions to the needs of each of our clients,” said Mario Nufio, Marketing Manager.

Currently, the company has major operations in Guatemala and significant operations throughout the Central American area (El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Belize). In addition, it exports to the Dominican Republic and Ecuador, with expansion plans to new essential markets such as Mexico, the Caribbean and Colombia.

Since its inception, Foragro has benefited different sectors of the agricultural industry with its constant innovations. Among them are bananas, coffee, sugar, beans, vegetables, rubber, corn, melon, pineapple, advising both small and large producers throughout the region. The new office in Panama completes its services, serving highland vegetable segments, rice, corn, coffee, sugar cane, banana producers and livestock farmers.

“Our leadership stems from the relationship with the end-user. We know their problems, and we advise and support them with the commitment to be an adequate solution for them. That is why we are interested in continuing with the expansion, promoting alternatives with high quality standards and cutting-edge technology for the agricultural industry throughout the Central American isthmus,” Nufio said in conclusion.
