Shandong Binnon begins construction of glufosinate and intermediate project in Lanzhou

Shandong Binnong Technology’s annual 22,100-ton green and novel pesticide technical and intermediate project, located in the Chemical Park at Lanzhou New Area, within a total land area of 302 mu (1 hectare = 15 mu), valued at RMB 1 billion, will be constructed in two phases. 

The Phase I investment will be worth RMB 400 million, of which RMB 200 million will be spent in 2021. The period of construction is between 2020 and 2022. Phase I involves the newbuild of a glufosinate workshop and the intermediate diethyl methylphosphonate workshop. Phase II includes the newbuild of glufosinate workshop and bentazone workshop.

The construction of the project has been progressing smoothly. As of May 31, RMB 165 million was spent, which is 82.5% of the annual spending plan. The steel structure of the glufosinate workshop and the intermediate diethyl methylphosphonate workshop is complete. Supporting facilities such as offices, sewage, tank yard and power distribution are underway.
