BASF presents Vaboro herbicide for pasture management in Brazil

When it comes to pasture, one of the biggest challenges for ranchers is the control of razor grass. Very common in the northern region of Brazil, this grass causes significant damage to the pasture since it proliferates quickly, competing with forages and making it difficult to control by conventional ways.

To help the rancher in the management of razor grass, BASF developed the Vaboro herbicide. The tool that contains two active ingredients, Imazapic and Imazapir, can also be applied in the rainy season, in large and small areas.

According to the manager of Pasture Business at BASF, Ricardo Zanquettim, the solution offers greater autonomy to the rancher, with practical use due to its formulation and performance in the control of razor grass.

"The benefits offered are aimed at controlling the razor grass and re-entering the pasture in a short time, increasing the productivity of the herd and allowing the cattle to consume quality forage," Ricardo emphasized.

Benefits of Vaboro Herbicide

• High efficiency: effective post-emergence control of razor grass.
• Concentration: formulation that allows for lower doses and greater yield.
• More productivity: with healthy pasture, cattle ingest quality forage.
• Flexibility: ideal for localized and full-area applications.
• Autonomy: shorter re-entry period for cattle.
