In September 2021, after the evaluation by China Pesticide Registration Evaluation Committee, Bayer’s tetraniliprole (product trademark Vayego SC) was approved for application to control of rice stem borer rice, leaf roller , citrus Phyllocnistis citrella and apple peach fruit moth, being valid until September 29, 2025. This is a further registration for an extended scope following the registration of Guoteng on September 30, 2020 for control of cabbage beet armyworm.
Bayer’s tetraniliprole is also published for public comment for an intended approval of registration for control of tomato cotton bollworm (protected area) and chili tobacco budworm (protected area). The period for public comment was from 28 September to 8 October 2021.
In addition, Baye’s bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST713 was fully registered as a pesticide product, following its registration as fertilizer in the product trademark Serenade SC. On September 3, 2021, the Planting Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced registration of Bayer’s bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST713 for control of strawberry grey mold, being valid from September 3, 2021 to September 2, 2026. Hence, following the first-time registration of QST713 in China as a bacterial manure in November 2019, the extended registration for application to 13 crops and crop groups in April 2021, now Bayer’s bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST713 has been granted registration as a pesticide product, which is now registered as both bacterial fertilizer and pesticide.
Bayer’s bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST713, which is registered as a pesticide, is planned to apply for a wider scope, which may cover cucumber gray mold and angular leaf spot, tomato grey mold and wilt, potato scab and grape grey mold.
