第三篇配图.pngAdama Brasil announced an investment of BRL1 million (US$190,000) in a platform that aims to offer information and itinerant courses on the smart and sustainable use of pesticides.

The project, known as “C.U.I.D.A.” (Circuit on the Intelligent Use of Agricultural Pesticides), aims to ensure the overall economic, environmental and social sustainability of Brazilian farmers.

“This year, we will continue our interactions with rural producers, to strengthen their training in an exclusive and personalized way. It is important to remember that a profitable crop requires proper phytosanitary management, maximizing benefits and mitigating application risks. This is the only way it is possible to produce more at higher levels of quality, safety and sustainability,” said Marcelo Gimenes, Adama Brasil’s Market Development Manager.

The program has an initial phase, which consists of a technical visit by an agronomist specializing in application technology to the farmers' rural property. The goal is to work with 3,000 people this year and organize 20 monthly training courses.

This initial phase began this month, with the participation of major customers in the sales regions of Mato Grosso. The company also aims to reach farmers in surrounding properties, achieving a multiplier effect.

“Through technical visits, the program will teach relevant concepts and practices on product formulation, smart mix and adjuvants, as well as the general aspects of sprayer application and inspection technology,” Gimenes added.
