Hailir, as a corporate citizen assuming social responsibility, has donated RMB 800,000-worth agricultural materials to support the recovery of agricultural production and crop disease management in the areas hit by the recent devastating storms in parts of China.
In July 2021, a once-in-a-millennium rainstorm hit China’s Henan province, causing serious flooding in many areas. According to data released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Henan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as of July 29, 14.50 million mu (1/15 hectare) of cropland in Henan Province was affected; 9.4 million mu was stuck by flooding disaster, 5.5 million mu suffered failed harvesting, where corn, peanut and soybean crops were seriously damaged. Farmland drainage is experiencing difficulties and areas are still flooded.
To help the affected areas to resume agricultural production and reduce damages caused by floods, Hailir responded quickly and positively to donate RMB 800,000-worth of agricultural materials.
On August 9, at 2:00 pm, trucks loaded with agricultural materials set off to reach the flood-hit Hui County, next morning. The donations are mainly for control of cucumber bacterial shot-hole, cabbage soft rot and tomato bacterial wilt.
To help Henan, which faces hard times, the workers of Hailir stand with growers to fight against the humanitarian disaster.
